about
From the upcoming EP "Electric Witch". Someone once said words and music exist in the ether. This song was written as stream of consciousness thing while driving down the 401 between Morningside and Victoria Park in Scarborough with one hand on the wheel. It was done in a few minutes. I do not recommend this, and considering we might want to walk more and slow down, but remain grateful it got captured.
Systems of colonial and patriarchal greed and envy threaten all humanity. We need the witches, now more than ever, thank you.

lyrics
Witch
She’s an angels mantra, they chant her name at times
I know that I’ve been branded, guilty of many crimes
When this road leads nowhere, and nowhere is to hide
She leads you to pools of love in her eyes
She catches every truth before they come around
And tells you about the universe without uttering a sound
chorus
She’s a witch, and she’s true
That’s good, good, good, now good for you
She’s a witch and she’s true, yeah, yeah
I believe my friend, this is where our world begins
On shattered streets of lover’s pain, gentle sheets of coloured rain
Sighs of romance, seas of calm, against amber kisses of a frozen dawn
Yeah, that’s where the world begins, the clock is moving, and we can’t pretend
Some golden age will come back again
Let the seas part and reunite, by the kiss of the moon on an icy twilight
Chorus
She’s an angel of mercy a mother of you
A woman of secrets, a sister of truth
When your back is broken and you are thrown to the cold
They show ya these things, in a river of gold
Chorus
